Level 3 Jewellery Making 8-Week Course (DAP Jewellery School)

This 8-week class is meant to build on DAP’s other foundational courses on jewellery making. This time you will be introduced to and learn about the art of lost wax casting, and in which you will carve a ring. This class will also touch on non-conforming dye making, the use of negative and positive space, and how to incorporate these techniques into the jewellery design process.

Floralchemy: The Art Of Bundle Dyeing (Work-Shop)

Nature also provides us with a palette of beautiful colours, which is why in this workshop, flowers and wild plants will be used as natural dye for fabrics. This is a great introduction to natural dyeing where you will learn simple techniques to produce surprising and beautiful results. At the end of the day, your creative colour experiment will have you produce an lovely eco-printed silk scarf you can take home.

DIY Ottomans (Work-Shop)

You’ll be amazed how easily you can make an ottoman from ground up and this class will teach you how. This class is fit for even the most clueless of novices to intermediate DIYers. You will learn how to make a tufted ottoman with tools you probably already have at home, and use the same techniques to create a wider variety of furniture types for the home, such as foot stools and dining chairs.

DIY Lampshade (Work-Shop)

Light up your life by learning to make the lampshade of your dreams in this 2-hour workshop. This easy and practical class will teach you everything you need to know to create a designer lamp shade that you could use to decorate and add flair to your home or gift to a friend or loved one.

Small Homewares Resin Workshop (Candu Creative)

If you’re one to like owning unique items in your home and don’t want to make an exception with homeware, this workshop is your solution. Learn to work with resin and make lovely and stylish homeware such as bowls, ornaments and figurines that are pieces of art in themselves. You will learn to work with pigments, dyes and pearlescent powders, as well as different techniques to make two original homewares items you can take home at the end of the class.

Creating with Pallets (She Skills)

Learning how to use and up cycle discarded wooden pallets make for a better home. This female-focused class provides you with practical knowledge and skills to safely deconstruct pallets and transform them into chic and useful furniture such as an outdoor table or a vertical planter. It’ll be a hard day of working, drilling and sawing - so be prepared to sweat ladies!

Introduction to Timber Construction and Power Tools (She Skills)

Join this 4-hour workshop so you can get started into woodworking and learn to create a project you’ll be proud to show off.
