Truffles, Truffles, Truffles

Truffles are a chocolate confectionery type traditionally made with a chocolate gânache centre and coated in chocolate or cocoa powder (we know, it sounds to die for). And the best part? You can replace the filling with loads of other options: creme, melted chocolate, caramel, nuts, almonds, berries, fudge, nougat, toffee, marshmallow… But at Gânache Chocolate in South Yarra, it’s all about, well, the gânache (no complaints here!).

In this fun-filled, hands-on course, you’ll learn how to make a variety of delicious truffles so that you can impress your friends and family and become the expert truffle-maker that resides within you (we hope it resides within us, too).

As part of this course, you will also learn the accompanying techniques of piping, rolling, and dipping, and touch on the art of tempering chocolate. Make sure you wear casual, closed-toe footwear and tie your long hair back. Oh, and if it’s warm outside, make sure you bring a cooler to transport your chocolate home. Not that there’s anything wrong with melted, gooey chocolate, no sirree.

Brilliant class. I’ve wanted to do this for a while knowing how much the host (Anro) loves his chocolate and has a lot of experience making it. You won’t regret it! - James, past student
